DESCRIPTION:The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute – BC Chapter (EERI-BC) is excited to invite you to an engaging and thought-provoking evening dinner seminar\, featuring Professor Rajesh Dhakal\, a globally recognized leader in earthquake engineering and seismic resilience. \nWhile modern seismic design codes have been remarkably successful in protecting lives during major earthquakes\, recent events around the world have revealed a growing challenge: the significant economic losses caused by damage to buildings that remain structurally safe.
