Canadian Association of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology
L’Association Canadienne du Génie Parasismique et de la Sismologie

Educational Activities Committee (EAC)

Objective of the EAC is to facilitate knowledge transfer from the earthquake engineering community to the general engineering practice. A first goal is to enable a discourse between the expert seismologists with the practicing earthquake engineering community and to create a two-way exchange that will improve understanding of the background and significance of the seismic risk and its implications in engineering practice. Another goal is to promote comprehension of underlying concepts of the earthquake code and the state of the art in earthquake engineering.

CAEES-ACGPS members who would like to participate in the work of EAC are invited to contact Mehrtash Motamedi ([email protected]) who is chairing the committee.
