Alberta shaken, not stirred: A look at the recent earthquake near Banff

A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck near Banff and Lake Louise early Sunday morning, but no damage has been reported.

The earthquake occurred at 4:39 a.m. at a depth of 1 kilometre, with its epicentre near latitude 51.61° North and longitude 115.85° West. According to the Government of Canada, the tremors were lightly felt in both Lake Louise and Banff. However, there have been no reports of injuries or structural damage.
